Why Don’t New Cars Have Yellow Fog Lights?

Maybe you haven’t noticed, maybe you have. If you have been paying attention and are old enough to remember those seventies and eighties cars that had the yellow fog lights, you may begin to wonder whatever happened to them as fog lights have no color whatsoever anymore.

Perhaps the reason for this was that yellow fog lights look really cool. The scientific fact is that yellow light or white light really makes no difference in terms of visibility for for lights. Fog is droplets of water and the color of light you shine through them is going to be stopped by them more quickly or more slowly depending on how dense the fog is. Whatever color your fog lights are, come in and have us check out your car’s safety features as you don’t want to be on the road at night or in the fog and have a bulb go out.
